Sansevieria Kokedama
Sansevieria Kokedamas (aka Mother-in-Laws tounge, Snake Plant) are practically self-caring, as they are super hardy. They can easily survive with watering once a month or less.
They are top pick in Air purifying plants, due to two facts where they can absorb toxins & uniquely create oxygen at night time. With this talent they are perfect for any room & particulary great in bedrooms.
These Kokedamas can be made to order in a couple different varieties either with yellow strip, evergreen or combination of both.
Please also be aware that they are listed as poisonous houseplants also, so consider positioning them well out of reach. That said, I have always had them high on shelves in my childrens bedrooms & then they can do their job of oxygen producing without fuss.
PRODUCT INFO
Kokedama Sansevieria plant size will vary (due to availability of plant stock). Each living art creation is unique, but will look very similar to the Kokedamas pictured in this product catalogue and generally made with around 6-8 stems.
The actual Sansevieria plant will be approx 50 cm in height from the top of Kokedama. Generally the Kokedama ball size for this product will be around the size of a rockmelon. All Kokedamas are made using combination of sphagnum moss, peat moss, soil, bark and twine.
Basic Care:
Due to kokedamas being moss based, the plant root system will absorb the moisture they need to grow from the kokedama ball. When the Kokedama ball becomes light in weight, the plant will generally need watering.
- Most of the time kokedamas will need a soak once every few weeks, that's why it's good to get to know the weight.
- To water your Kokedama, they require a 10 minute soak with approx 5 cm of water, using a sink or bowl.
- After soaking the plant you will notice it is heavier in weight, due to the water absorbed.
- Kokedamas also like air flow, so recommend a stand to allow good air flow or hanging your kokedama.
